Global manufacturing supplier: The Filter Design Company is a leading filter design and manufacturing company and has manufactured around two hundred products, designed and automated even more filters and machinery, and has various technical and business departments to keep driving the business forward.
The Filter Design Company already had a website that was a little long-in-the-tooth and no longer represented the kind of work they do or convey their philosophy of ‘everyone deserves clean air’. A new site was required to successfully deliver the service and product descriptions, present a ‘global’ feel and successfully project the image the company wanted visitors to see. It was important that the company was seen as progressive and forward looking as well as celebrating its long history.
The key elements for consideration were to promote the company as a global supplier and have a sufficiently corporate image without being ‘too corporate’ – The Filter Design Company primary services involve providing filtration products to a wide range of sectors so ensuring visitors from different sectors would realise quickly that their requirements could be catered for was important. Also, ‘everyone deserves clean air’ needed to be suggested and reinforced in the overall look and feel of the design.
We opted for a clean and minimalist approach to design with curved elements to suggest ‘airflow’ and suitable imagery, including video, to project the ‘clean air’ philosophy. Written content was kept to a minimum – just enough to get the message across – with calls-to-action to invite visitors to find out more.
We also used a modern full-screen menu to compartmentalise website sections in order for visitors from different sectors to quickly and easily locate information they are looking for.

After this project, the company asked us to take over the hosting and management of Corpro, The Filter Design Company’s ‘sister’ website.
